The villa I stayed in was located at the front of the hotel, facing the busy and noisy road, and directly above the driveway into the hotel parking lot, resulting in double vehicle noise. The rooms were extremely sparse and outdated, only equipped with a shower. Service at Club Maeva Miramar was very friendly and attentive, although the hotel did not fully meet the offered services. The location, while beautiful with a round pool overlooking the gulf, was marred by a recent wind storm that made the outdoor area unusable. Dining options were average, with hot food choices but the buffet left more to be desired.

The hotel has its ups and downs. The rooms were not very comfortable and could have used some comfy chairs for relaxing, but they were darkened as described as a “Villa”. The service excels at keeping guests entertained and during the day, although I got extremely burnt and am peeling, which is really nasty. The location, while dominated by the petroleum industry with the attendant factories and sulfur smells in the breeze, is only for adults, which makes a nice change. The dining experience from a 4-star buffet was very good, but it is a 1-star restaurant, while the resteraunt is 5-star. However, the barbecue dining option was great.
